Netkanika boosts supplies for medical use and temporarily cuts sales in other segments

As instructed by Russian federal executive authorities, Netkanika is significantly increasing the supply of non-woven materials for the production of single-use personal protective equipment such as medical masks and overalls for hospital workers. At the same time, Netkanika has to temporarily cut deliveries to its customers in non-medical sectors with immediate effect.

Rifkat Galimzyanov, General Manager of Netkanika:
“CREATEX MED spunbond and meltblown/spunmelt non-woven materials produced by Netkanika are the key component in the production of masks and overalls for infectious disease specialists. Today, our primary goal is to ensure timely and, if possible, sufficient supply to Russian single-use PPE producers, which will be achieved by unifying the grade range.»

Dmitry Varshaver, Deputy CEO for Business Development at Netkanika:
“When we accomplish this task, the limitations will be lifted. Netkanika will do its best to provide consistent supply to all our customers. On top of that, we are working to ramp up the production of non-woven materials with strong barrier properties for protective medical devices.”

Viktor Evtukhov, State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade:
“We would like to thank Netkanika for timely supply of materials for the production of PPE desperately needed by medical professionals in the healthcare facilities of Russia’s federal and regional executive authorities. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will support Netkanika’s initiative to ramp up the production of non-woven materials with strong barrier properties for protective medical devices.”
